Mock Trial Competition

The Delaware High School Mock Trial competition takes place at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in Wilmington on the last Friday and Saturday of February, annually. We encourage all high schools to participate, regardless of experience. Resources and materials for new teams, as well as attorney coaches can be provided upon request.

Summer Internships with DELREC
Each year, DELREC takes two paid summer interns who will be the first in their families to become a lawyer. Interns spend 8 weeks rotating to 8 different legal nonprofit organizations in Wilmington, spending one week with each. Please check back in Febrary, 2026 for the summer 2026 application.

Know Your Rights Workshops
We will bring prosecutors, police officers and defense attorneys with us to teach students about their rights under the 4th amendment and DE criminal law. In this engaging workshop, students not only learn what their rights are, but how and when to assert them so that they are safe and empowered
YMCA Judicial Program
Teens from any school or area YMCA can participate in mock oral argument cases and propose legislation in this thriving state-wide program.
