The Delaware High School Mock Trial competition takes place at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in Wilmington on the last Friday and Saturday of February, annually. We encourage all high schools to participate, regardless of experience. Resources and materials for new teams, as well as attorney coaches can be provided upon request.

High School Students- do you want to spend a day shadowing at the Delaware Innocence Project? One day during the week of April 21st, students from across the state will gather at Delaware Law School in Wilmington from 10 AM - 4 PM. Students will learn from Innocence Project Delaware staff about exoneration work, the post-conviction process, and how we work to prevent wrongful convictions. Know Your Rights Workshops
We will bring prosecutors, police officers and defense attorneys with us to teach students about their rights under the 4th amendment and DE criminal law. In this engaging workshop, students not only learn what their rights are, but how and when to assert them so that they are safe and empowered

Summer Internships with DELREC
Each year, DELREC takes two paid summer interns who will be the first in their families to become a lawyer. Interns spend 8 weeks rotating to 8 different legal nonprofit organizations in Wilmington, spending one week with each. Look for our application here around March or April, 2025.

In partnership with the Center for Civic Education and the Delaware Social Studies Coalition, DELREC is developing law related curricula for every grade level that meets the State Civics Standard.
