Curricula by Grade Level

In partnership with the Center for Civic Education and the Delaware Social Studies Coalition, DELREC is developing law related curricula for every grade level that meets the State Civics Standard.

Kindergarten to 1st Grade

2nd & 3rd Grade
Click HERE for a lessons on the concepts of respect for others, their opinions, and their property. These are the foundations of a civil society in the United States. The 7 lessons meet Civics standard two K-3a. Students will understand the difference between criminal and civil laws, and the foundations of their responsibilities as members of a society.
4th & 5th Grade
Try out THIS scripted mock trial! It comes with a Power Point explanation of how trials work, a worksheet on building a case, a roles sheet, and a full trial of Mrs. Seepoorly and the Robbery! Let us know if you'd like a lawyer to come in to help set it up.
